- Student Matters: Always speak with your child’s teacher first. Teachers are the best source of information about what’s going on in that particular class and grade. Next, speak with your child’s division head – Cathy Schreiber for Early Childhood and Kindergarten, Terry Pollack for General Studies (Grades 1 – 8 ) and Leah Spector for Judaics and Hebrew.
- John Marcus, President, Board of Trustees, is responsible for carrying out the Board’s mission to create plans, set policies and take actions that will ensure the viability of the school for future generations. - Jerry Isaak-Shapiro, Head of School, is responsible for the interpretation and implementation of policy and of the mission of the school, hiring and staff evaluation and representing the school to its constituents.
- Leah Spector, Assistant Head of School / Director of Judaics & Hebrew, develops, supervises and evaluates the overall Judaics & Hebrew curricula and evaluates the Judaics division staff. She also develops and manages all class and event schedules as well as the master school schedule.
- Terry Pollack, Director of General Academics, develops, supervises and evaluates the overall general studies curriculum and evaluates the general studies staff (Grades 1 – 8). He is also the Middle School Coordinator.
- Cathy Schreiber, Director or Early Childhood, develops, supervises and evaluates Agnon’s Early Childhood division (including Kindergarten) and evaluates its staff.
- Janet Keane, CFO, is responsible for the budgeting process and the school’s overall financial health. She also coordinates the tuition assistance process.
- Jodi Stewart, HR / Accountant, is responsible for matters related to tuition.
- Ellen Joseph, Student Services Coordinator, handles student record keeping, transportation, medications, safety drills and the lunch program.
- Laura Simon, Director of Admissions, is responsible for student admissions, recruitment and retention. She is also the school’s parent liaison and will assemble the appropriate people to discuss a particular issue and follow up on a timely basis.
- Laura Leventhal, Director of Development, is responsible for all fund development programs, including AIP (Agnon Involvement Program), benefit events and the Fund for Academic Excellence.
- Kathy Peskin, Director of Marketing, is responsible for marketing and communications, including The Agnon Agenda newsletter and other publications.
- Jenny Emery, Administrative Assistant, keeps track of the B’nai Mitzvah registry dates and after-school programs. She also maintains Jerry Isaak-Shapiro’s calendar of meetings and events; please schedule meetings directly with her.
- Marcy Scolnick, Receptionist, is responsible for selling grocery and lunch coupons and takes messages to be delivered to classrooms. Marcy takes student attendance and calls parents who have not reported their child absent.
