Passover began at sundown Monday and students at the Agnon School in Beachwood found many different ways to celebrate the Jewish holiday last week. The photographs were submitted by Kathy Peskin.

After tie dying fabric, Agnon parent Lisa Mayers of University Heights and daughter Ellie , a kindergarten student, collaborate to sew and stuff pillows for the Passover Seder.

Eighth-grader Danielle Reisman of Moreland Hills creates a Seder plate during a middle school art class. Each piece created in this class represents the student’s interpretation of the Exodus from Egypt and the impact of that event on the lives of the Jewish people and Israel today.

Third graders , from left, Sophie Olsen of Shaker Heights, Andrew Saks of Pepper Pike and Rachel Kelly of Lyndhurst collect food with their classmates for Agnon’s annual kosher for Passover food drive. This community mitzvah project helps low income Jewish Clevelanders – many of whom are Holocaust survivors – enjoy a variety of Passover items.
